Some nice Bible quotes to share
If you have any fundies and they use the Bible for all their beliefs here are three nice quotes for you. (If you're wondering I'm Christian myself). I'm in a debate with someone and am waiting to hear back. When I do I'm going to use these.

And when he hath made her drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed." (Numbers 5:27-28) (abortion)

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hyprocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." (Matthew 6:5-6) (self explainatory)

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God" (Matthew 5:9) (war)

1. I love those last two.
Those last two quotes are two of my absolute favorite biblical quotes. I never read that first one, though, and I don't see how it says anything about abortion, one way or another.

2. I think the first one is about abortion because the woman
takes a potion (in todays terms has an operation) and then can not conceive. She does this if it is not legitamate, so maybe it is moral to not have a baby if it was conceived in a bad condition?

6. I think these are great quotes from the Bible!
"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites :
for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners
of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you,
They have their reward.

"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." -- Matthew 6:5-7

“Take care that you don't flaunt your religion in public to be noticed by others. Otherwise, you will have no recognition from your Father in the heavens" -- (Matt. 6:1).

In other words, don’t flaunt your religion. Be serious about your faith and not use it for political grandstanding.
