So, God spoke to me last night. Usually I just get "feelings" from Him

but last night He gave me a very clear very loud statement:

"Pray for your enemies!"


Soooooo.. I think I know where he is going with this since I am carrying around a lot of old scars from some people who really bullied me from cradle to graduation, and I tried praying for them last night. Then I thought I was done and He said (this time it was a feeling not a statement) "You forgot yourself".

Which of course is true because I really don't like myself and am often my own worst enemy because I sabotage myself left and right. (Yes, I admit it. I have been stealing a lot of candy from the kids' Halloween buckets again this year. :cry:)

I guess I will also try to pray for my political enemies too, since I do have an anger against the repubs and fundagelicals that makes me feel bitter.

i was just talking with my hubby about this..and he is a fundagelical.. but we didn't get very far into the discussion.
