and last year we had an early tree swallow in the winter as well. There's been Eastern Phoebes showing up too, but it's unclear whether or not they are moving up as an early migration or just represent birds that never left as we didn't get a real winter until the last couple weeks.

and remember thousands of robins wintering in Newfoundland a few years back (lived there).
Saw Iceland Gulls and Robins in the same park in January...
