I was over 500 when I went, and I think I had 42 lifers. :D
Sounds like Christmas came early for you!
(I still need the parula, the seedeater, and Muscovy.)

2. All three took some work |
|
The Tropical Parula was at Estero Llano Grande State Park, in a closed area. We had to get permission to go look. Searched for about a half hour.
The Seedeater was at Zapata, and again, took about a half hour to find.
The Muscovies were originally on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande at Salieno. Fortunately, a boat scattered the duck flock (Wigeons and Mallards) and the Muscovies took off to the American side!

5. Great list. I love going down there. |

600 green parakeets!?! Wow. I have seen them in bunches but not like that. Amazing! I think those white tailed hawks are very handsome.
