Does this happen to anyone else????? |
|
lately, every time I do cardio, I wake up the next morning with a killer sore throat. It started roughly 3 weeks ago and last week I took off 5 days because I assumed I was coming down with something. It doesn't occur after my weight lifting sessions though, only after cardio (which is usually running). I have no other "sick" symptoms and if I go 2 days without cardio, it goes away.
Any ideas?

1. If you're running outside |

It may be allergy related.

Back when I was doing tabata intervals I would get this. I started forcing my self to drink while working out and the sore throats stopped.

4. what is "tabata" intervals? |
|
I'm not familiar with that. I usually drink water when I'm running on the treadmill but not when I'm outside. I guess I'll run inside more. grrr.

invented it as a way to increase vO2max for Olympic speedskaters 4 minute moderate warm up 20 seconds of maximum effort 10 seconds of rest 7-8 cycles 2-4 minutes cool down.
I would put the treadmill on high and jump on/off while watching the timer. It's hard on the heart so don't do it unless your pretty healthy to begin with. I don't think I could do more than 4 cycles with out puking now.
