1. We have a high index all summer long. |
|
It's just a matter of getting used to it. Of course, I'm no good at getting used to sub-freezing temps as we rarely get them here in Central Texas.
This is the first summer that I didn't run from one air-conditioned space to another but that's because I was out riding my bike as it got warmer and warmer and got used to it.
Hope your back is feeling better soon!

2. In my present condition, I have to be very careful |
|
Anything over about 90 degrees, and even in the generally dry conditions of Vegas I will overheat quickly. I'm taking my bike rides at around 4:30 in the morning, when it's been in the upper 60s or 70s mostly. This morning's dew point (what I really go by; if it's over 60 then forget it) is a wonderful 43, with a temperature of 74. Cool and dry.

3. I have barely been outside this entire month. |

Rain/hot and humid/rain/hot and humid. The skeeters are horrible from all the precipitation, too.

4. you need to be careful in that heat, you can get heat cramps |
|
the heat here in California is why i decided to invest in a treadmill, for at least 4-5 months of the year it's wicked hot and the air quality is awful.

take in way more water than you think you need and listen to your body. You don't want to be four miles in a seven mile run and realize you've over-exerted yourself and can't get back home.
