After basically 2 months off I'm ready to get back to work(fun). Specific targets are to do a century ride on Oct 8 and be fit for a 4-5 day backpacking trip October 10. And most important NO MORE INJURIES, I repeat NO MORE INJURIES. I'm going to be more willing to blow off a day or two if I'm not up to it rather than push too hard.
Starting next week this will be the plan AM - M,F Kettlebells T,TH deadlifts W abs, depending on mode this will be saxon side bends, Janda situps or dragonflags. PM - M,W Biking, swimming or HOC* T, TH climbing at the gym Friday night is an off night. On the weekend I'll either climb outside or go on a long bike ride, but not both, depending on the family schedule.
I have my grippers at work and do 5 reps about 4 times a day on the gripper one step down from the one I'm trying to close. I'm hoping to close the #1 with the left hand in one week and the #2 with the right in 3 weeks. I'm almost there now.
HOC is a combination cardio/strength workout. Run 1/8 mile and stop to do some pushups, pullups, situps, sidebends. Repeat until you run 1 mile.
I welcome all comments and criticism

1. Sounds like you will be working pretty hard |

Personally I like to keep it simple. I strength train every other day and walk every day. But I'm not trying to do any long bike rides or hikes, either.
