Monday, 12/12: I worked out today--did you? |
|
:hi: good morning!
I'm not sure you can call this a workout, but I walked the indoor track for a mile this morning. I was slow going, but I figured to just keep moving was better than nothing at all.
I was humbled once again by how little I can do right now. I tried to use the tricep extension machine and it turns out, indeed, you need your abs to use that machine (well, I do anyway).
Rome wasn't built in a day. I'll just take my time and let my body be my guide. I'll see the doctor next week. Maybe he can give me some insight on how much more time I'll be sidelined.
How did you all do today?

1. I can relate a little. I worked out this morning for the first time |
|
in almost 3 weeks. I had the flu for 10 days & it has taken me over a week more to get my strength back to work out. I did my kick boxing, pilates & yoga. It felt good, but a slower pace than I was doing.

Glad to be back visiting the forum and glad you are back in the swing of things. Every little bit counts!
I went to my hot yoga class at lunch today. I'm quite proud of myself; I've been back at yoga for two weeks and this was the first time I have EVER not had that "I'm gonna die" feeling in the middle of class. I am not entirely sure if this is due to the fact that I'm getting used to it, or the fact that I've been drinking a LOT of water lately, or the fact that I stopped off on the way to work and got an "everything bagel" WITH cream cheese and quite possibly the overdose of carbs and fat became available at JUST the right time.
Whatever the cause, it was nice to get all of the way through the class feeling OK. :7
