Finding the time to workout |
|
Well my new 15 yo cat tends to wake me at 4:30 for social interaction and I try to ignore him and fall back to sleep but it just ain't working. So today, I decided to put the time to good use and went to the gym. Best move I have made. Instead of rushing around after supper to do my male of household duties and then working out I did it while everyone else slept. Feel good but we will see what later in the day brings.

I find that if I don't get to the gym first thing in the morning, I don't get to the gym.
You may find yourself going to bed a little earlier--not the worst thing in the world.

it wouldn't be the worse thing to go to bed at a reasonable hour. I have been dragging lately at work and it is probably just laying in bed after the cat wakes me. Maybe the thing to do is have chinese this weekend (cat fried rice!!)

I get up and let the dog out then do my work out before going to work. But if I had a cat that woke me up at 4:30 I wouldn't have a cat for long.

5. Higher testosterone levels first thing in the am. |
|
So, you're working out at the optimal time for building muscle.
Since my recent job change, I'm at the gym by 5am myself, and I'm liking the change.

7. probably not so much for me, eh? |

I understand my testosterone levels only go up once every month.... for now anyway. Ask me in a few years when I start growing a beard.

6. this whole conversation is making me tired. |
|
but i do really, really hate that whole trying to sleep while being annoyed thing. i have been getting up earlier myself. stopped trying to ignore hubby's morning rummaging for socks, etc. and catching a little bit of rachel maddow on aar. chicken and egg-wise, tho, i think feeling better is what came first. when i am dragging, i can't hear a thing.

8. I always work out in the AM. |
|
I used to go for the occasional evening workout, but since I had the second child, I am too cooked at night to deal with it.
My gym is doing a 6am daily boot camp workout program, which I wanted to participate in, but it cost $60 a week on top of the regular gym fee, so I had to give it a pass. But I bet that would jolt me out of my recent exercise complacency.
