Okay Exercise and Fitness,
Since Katrina's surge breached the levees and flooded my home, I haven't been very focused on my physical health. Now it's showing. I've gained 5-10 pounds in the last 9 months and would like to lose it in the next 3. I'm so tense in my neck and shoulder that my hand goes numb. (yes, i've seen a doctor and need to go to physical therapy) Basically, I'm kind of a mess!
We'll be moving back to our home next week. :D No furniture (except a mattress and box springs) and a found loveseat. No paint on the walls and tons of work still to be done.
So I won't be able to spend a large amount of my time exercising but I have begun making the effort again. I've been going jogging 2-3 times a week with my dear dog. 2 miles in 95+ temperatures. Hopefully, soon I can buy a bike to replace the flooded one so that I can mix up my biking with running. Also, I'd like to get a DVD and some weights for upperbody strength.
I'll probably be needing some encouragement. I think I'm in the right place.

I can't imagine the stress you've been under these past few months.
Hopefully getting back into somewhat of a routine will help.
Best of luck to you. :pals:

3. Welcome back! It seems your home rehabbing will probably give |
|
you a good deal of exercise. I'm sorry that's the case, though. I'm just glad that you folks (and dog) got out okay.

4. Welcome back, with a little hard work you can get that |
|
weight off in that time frame. If you need help with your diet, post a sample diet and we can help you. Good luck and glad to have you back. I couldn't imagine my house being flooded like that. Good for you in going back there. Be careful with that neck problem.

It's nice to see you'll be headed back to your house. I'm sure having all that work to do will help take some pounds off.
Keep us informed of your progress, both on the home front and with your fitness goals.
Welcome back!
