Okay, there's another women only gym in my neighborhood that I'm considering joining. It offers more of a workout than Curves, and when I was talking to the gal on the phone and said I didn't like the politics of the people behind Curves she was surprised, said she hadn't heard anything about that.
Anyone know anything about Contours Express? I did a quick google and didn't find anything one way or another.
Unfortunately, I am really out of shape and probably the barely-anything-at-all workout that Curves offers is a good fit for me. The last time I was in there, though, the music was contemporary Christian, which set my teeth on edge. Even when I was a bible-toting newly born-again Christian I didn't care for that music. :puke:

1. I'm not familiar with contours but you can always |

take an mp3 player in there while you workout or join a local gym that doesn't have the other politics and use a personal trainer for the first several weeks to get you started.
