Not a creature was stirring ...
Rumor has it that December brings with it a serious case of the not-wanting-to-exercises, given the weather, the shopping to be done, and the travelling! Nonetheless, I've been super good, getting up early and doing 35 minutes on the elliptical trainer on odd days and 35 minutes of yoga on evens. The challenge grows, though, as I head home for two weeks of holidays (into the bad weather) on Thursday night. My partner and I have a deal that we'll take advantage of the cold weather and fresh air at home and get up in the mornings for long walks together (which will also be our only time alone as we have a serious crew of fam for the holidays), and I ordered a travel yoga mat that will be waiting at my house. I hope I manage to use it as I'm starting to get quite limber.

how are you guys planning to incorporate exercise into your holiday cheer?

Jean Louise

1. I've been exercising, just not posting
Yesterday I hit my chest and back with a short intense workout

Incline BB Bench 5 sets
Flat BB Bench 5 sets

BB rows 4 sets
T-bar rows 4 sets

I just got a handle to allow me to do t-bar rows in the garage. For those of you wanting to add to your back workout it's the best $15 you can spend if you already have a bb and weights.

2. I alternate yoga and Pilates every other day
I also recently started practicing Qigong, which I really enjoy.

After the holidays, I'm going to take boxing lessons. :woohoo:

4. On the treadmill at the gym
had to add it since it gets dark so early. I run on the weekends in addition to the group exercise sessions.

5. I have actually tried to up my exercise a little to deal with holiday stress
and the extra food. Been good about doing my yoga. Not so good about cardio, but no surprise there since I dislike cardio and love yoga. Oh well, best I can do right now......
