Hydroxycut?
I'm having a helluva time toning up my abs and its annoying the hell outta me. I've heard this stuff is supposed to be pretty good at burning fat around the abs. So I've been reading some about this stuff, more positive reviews than negative. Although some of the side effects can be a bit scary (acne, muscle cramps, dehydration, restlessness and heart palpatations:scared:) Anyone have any advice on this product?

1. Well it can raise your heartrate for a bit ...
if you've never taken appetite suppressants before, that's a usual effect.

They (usually) recommend you take only 1 pill the first time to gauge how it will affect you. I would do that.

2. Don't expect miracles
I heard that Hydroxycut doesn't work since they took the ephedra out of it.

Have you tried HIIT (high intensity interval training)? It's supposed to be effective at reducing body fat.

3. Which one? There are 4 current varieties.
Metabolic enhancers help to burn calories, yes. Is it area specific? Not really, but if all you have to do is drop that last 3 or 4% of bodyfat, they'll help. Hydroxycut, though I don't care for Muscletech much, is a safe product when used responsibly.

I prefer the synephrine based products (I think the old Hydroxycut has this, but I don't think the new "Hardcore" version does) like Thermonex EF or Lipo6.

4. Don't waste your money
Hydroxicut isn't as good as it used to be. There are newer things in the market that can do the job with or without stimulants. I don't know what kind of diet or exercise regime you are doing but the single most important thing to burn fat is to eat protein, at least 1g per pound of weight. Here's a good link you can use on fat burners and the top sellers currently in the market. Of course, don't expect to find those in Walgreens or CVS.

I hear great reviews on Nutrex Lipo 6. It is designed for women since it is more difficult for us to burn fat but guys swear fot it
