Time for me to get back into fitness for a healthy me! |
|
Hi guys! :hi:
I was here quite a bit earlier in the year, methinks... (was that this year, or has it been a whole two years?) .... then I sort of fell out of the habit... now it's time to develop it again!
SO -- time to log in here for a bit of accountability! :hi: I hereby resolve to re-start my fitness habit on THURSDAY by going and doing the three mile Turkey Trot. If you see me on the boards --- ask me how I did! Mwahahahaha! :D
Looking forward to seeing more of you. :toast:

So good to see you!!
I had good intentions this weekend, but you know where those lead! My workout space has been taken over with clutter, so later this afternoon, hubby & I are going to clear it out. I may not use it today, but I will definitely be there tomorrow. I sound so Scarlett O'Hara, don't I?
:hi:

I was just checking in here, as I am trying to get back on track myself. Starting December 3, I am doing a 2 week morning fitness bootcamp taught by professionals in sports medidince at the fitness center at my workplace. I HATE mornings, but I figure I can commit to anything for 2 weeks. I figure I will learn a lot, and by doing it hardcore for 2 weeks, getting back into a regular routine should feel like a piece of cake!LOL
I have started preparing for the boot camp by walking daily with my coworker who is also doding the bootcamp (she has to walk, but I would prefer to jog, so I use hand weights to get the most out of it), and I jogged 2 miles this weekend. Before falling off the wagon, I was up to 3 miles. I will be trying to get to the gym 3 times this week after work.
I'd like to drop 10 pounds before I go to LA to visit a friend after Christmas. 4 weeks at 2.5 pounds per week is possible, so we'll see!

4. You get used to getting up |
|
Honestly. I am NOT a morning person but I am starting to get used to having my eyes fly open before sunrise.
Good luck!

6. I've had my best results with exercise in the morning -- |

much as I hate it!! It really helps me control my eating through out the day. I figure I didn't get up at 5am so I could eat a donut. Looking forward to hearing how the bootcamp goes! BTW, I love my weighted belt for more intense walking: http://www.amazon.com/Weighted-Belt-w-20-lb/dp/B0002T2FXY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1196205463&sr=8-2
