I worked out today--did you?
Ok, so, yesterday I jogged for the first time ever. As many people predicted, I did wake up sore.

But I got up and went to the gym anyway.

Today I did 1.4 miles on the track (jogged 10 laps, walked 4).

I also went into the weight room and worked on pecs, lats, and triceps.

Tomorrow, I may hit the sauna before and after my run, just to warm up the muscles so I can stretch more effectively.

1. Way to go! Today was shoulder day for me...
and can I say: OUCH!!!

5 Sets military press (Smith machine)
5 Sets reverse flys (machine) - made some progress here - hurray!
5 Sets middle deltoid raises (machine)
5 Sets of front deltoid raises things (dumbell) - so so on these
5 Sets upright rows (barbell) definitely fatiguing by this point
1.2 sets of utterly pathetic standing middle deltoid cable lifts or whatever - Pffffftttttt!!! I was gone by then

Yesterday was chest day. Also ouch. I used the Smith Machine in earnest for chest stuff and think it helped with my incline presses.

All in all I'm gonna be sore as hell for back day tomorrow!

:)

y'all will probably get sick of hearing that but it seems to be just about all I have time for. I'd like to do more cycling

anyway..i made it in 21 minutes, only stopped twice for the pup to take care of her business (then for me to clean it up and find a trash can)

I feel good!

3. Yes! I went biking at the Austin Veloway,
a 3.1 paved road that is just for cyclists. It was a blast! I think I have a new love! :D

5. I did some cardio today.
On the eliptical at about 75-85 rpm. That seems to get my heart rate up there.
