Is Howard Dean Redeemed? Does he need to be?

Howard Dean is (hopefully) ushering in a great night for the Democratic Party on Tuesday. Does this mean that he has shaken his image as an overly emotional hot head? Was that image ever fair?

Dean showed great restraint when he resisted the calls to intervene in the Clinton-Obama cat fights during the primary. Sometimes (like this one) doing nothing is the perfect reaction.

I say Dean has found his niche. He deserves a fair share of credit for what should be a big night for the party of the people on Tuesday.

THANK YOU HOWARD DEAN!

1. WTF? Redeemed?
The only thing Howard Dean ever did wrong was come a little too close to winning for the comfort of the DLC.

2. He didn't need redemption - establishment DC Dems targeted Gore, Kerry and Dean with smears to
maintain THEIR stranglehold on the party. Well.....it didn't work.

4. "Hot-Head"?
I think 'hot-head' is unfairly and inaccurately applied to Howard Dean. His demonstration of political passion in the emergency at-risk situation of the past 8 years has been warranted, as well as having served him well in energizing and organizing the Democratic Party.

5. Redeemed from what?
Howard should replace Harry Reid.

7. Wow...hothead? Carville and Begala did their jobs well, didn't they.
Remember Crossfire? The daily get together of Novak, Carville, Begala, and Tucker? Remember? Their goal was to make the world think Howard Dean was crazy. I found the old transcripts page. They were ugly.

The only way Dean will get credit due...which is a huge amount...is if the blogosphere makes sure he gets the credit due.
