Puzzle me this - why does a 24% Republican miniority have the same sway with the Congress
that they had when in the majority?

This bullshit has got to stop - by any means necessary.

1. I've said for a long time I think part of it is the unspoken threat of physical violence.
You never know when a Rushbot will go off his meds and all hell breaks loose. Abortion doctors killed, talk show hosts (Alan Berg)...

2. Additionally why are the on TV all the time? This minority has been given an awfully big megaphone
I think truthout did a study and found there were twice as many Republicans given free air time during the Stimulus debate as Democrats.

If you watched nothing but cable TV you would think the Dems are in the minority.

It is just crazy.

TV had no problem marginalizing Dems after Nov 4 2004. Look how much airtime McCain gets now a days.

3. Blue Dogs and bullying
plus the fact that the eavesdropping probably compromised a lot of them besides Jane Harman.

4. because they are on the same side
What do mean exactly by "sway"?If you are referring legislative power its because when a person digs through all the bullshit that comes out of politicians prattling nonsense, whether Democrat or Republican, the majority of them are on the same side, their own. I think that Congress, with the a few exceptions, has to go completely. Or get some third party candidates in there some how.
