OK, GD's gettin' on my other sore point.
Guess which family just had their 18th kid? And guess which family is once again being subjected to the "witty" (and old and hoary) barbs of all those who would control another woman's vagina and tell her when to jus plain stop having sex with her husband?

These same people, if someone told THEM how many children to have, or came to them and said "Why don't you and your spouse knock it off in the bedroom, don't you have enough kids?," would tell them where to go in no uncertain terms. These same people champion gay adoption. These same people would defend a woman's right to choose an abortion to the death.

These same people are saying the crudest and most disgusting things about a woman's vagina, uterus and Fallopian tubes...just because she has chosen to have many, many children because she is under the impression that GOD wants her to.

I mean, I guess it would be fine, if only God weren't the supposed reason. But that's her explanation.

And because of that, she's fair game.

1. Oh, I know.

And those same people, if they were childless and chose to remain so, would take umbrage at anyone suggesting there is something wrong with them because of that.

Why do they care how many children Mrs. Duggar has? No skin off their noses. They aren't freeloading, they aren't letting their kids run wild, they aren't stepping on anyone's toes.

I've watched a few of the shows, and while it is not a lifestyle I would choose to live, they seem to have it together in terms of feeding, clothing, sheltering, and teaching their children. They built their own home, and as far as I can tell, the kids aren't being abused, and they are learning to be responsible.

Nope, I just don't get it.

Edited to add: And, those same people would probably say the kids WERE being abused, because of the fundamentalist Christian way their parents are raising them, but would take further umbrage at having their own lifestyles questioned.

2. Hypocrites
every last one of them. They even dump on those who send the family their best wishes.

Never mind that the house is spotless, the children clean, well-dressed & well-cared for. Because they're Christians, they're lower than dirt.
