Check out this oldie but goodie thread
I just randomly picked a thread out of the old archives and it turned out to be the night KO wore our tie! Brings back some good (and bad) memories of many who are no longer around these parts with us.

1. Boy, is that a trip or what?
Sad to say, I was not yet a member of the KOEB at that time. I was suffering my mighty KO passions alone, as I did not acquire a computer capable of contemporary full-blast Web surfing until the following month. So I missed out on the joy of actually participating in Tie Buy '05. The one time I went in on KOEB-purchased ties, Keith did not see fit to wear either. (I think he perceived that I had participated, and was so revulsed by the idea that an elderly shut-in who looks like Leona Helmsley might have some degree of passionate attraction to him that he purposefully resisted wearing the ties, lest he mistakenly be perceived by me to have "led me on" for doing so and thus invite himself to be stalked afresh by a madwoman for the rest of his life. I must apologize to all the rest of you for thus tainting the purchase.)

Later on, though, I did have the joy of participating on threads with many wonderful folk who seem to no longer be with us, or with us seldom.

We miss ya:

Clark2008 (hope you and Gavin and the kids are OK and happy)
merh
Nothing Without Hope (I wonder if Hope became an Obama supporter)
crispini (Keeper of the Pink Fuzzy Handcuffs...hope they're still in good repair, you never know when they might come in handy)
seito
gkhouston
sparky_in_ma (alas poor Sparky...are you never coming back? The Rev misses you so)
lwfern
bunny planet (although at least Bun-Bun still pops up her head out of the burrow on occasion)
greenmutha
Greylyn58 (hope you and Sheridan are well)
bettyellen

There are also a few folks on that thread who were much more intermittent participants, or who weren't there all that much anymore, by the time I joined, and I never got to know them well. Along with a few who are gone, but not missed. But shhhh...keep it on the QT. :-)

Damn, I miss those innocent, free days sometimes. I mean, I don't miss the blivet being president, not at all. But I miss those innocent days when Keith was still unattached and self-deprecating about his skills at the Game of Love, and could send the KOEB into a frenzy just by wearing something it sent him on the air...
