Oh wow... the stereotypical big-nosed Jew is killing people/beating up kids. I could have told you that would be in there without even looking at them. How did these get to be the finalists? I've seen practically the same cartoons ad nauseum. Don't the original artists of these templates get mad people are ripping off their work? I mean, the first time I saw the one of someone getting laughs about Islam jokes and the boot about Jewish jokes, maybe it caught my eye. But the umpteenth time? Whatever.
Frankly, I expected something more offensive. This is just same-old same-old.

I thought the Danish cartoons were stupid and rather crass - to be honest I didn't see what all the fuss was about, and I thought that they were being used as an excuse so that certain fanatics could do whatever they wanted. I didn't believe they were the cause necessarily. These cartoons are much the same - stupid, crass, they seem more bloody (but I haven't looked at the Danish ones for awhile, so what do I know?), and they are ridiculously forced propaganda. I couldn't tell what many of them meant - and the interpretation by the commentors seem illogical. We all know that there is antisemitism out there and there it was.
What disturbed me more were the comments - the cartoons were stupid, the comments were brutally vicious and full of misinformation and hatred...and worst of all the people who wrote them seem to really believe everything they say. Its heartbreaking.

3. Some of these cartoons are amazingly well-done. I'm surprised... |

..I thought that it would be half a dozen crude cartoons depicting "protocols"-style Jewish stereotypes. With over 200 hundred entries there are certainly more than a fair share of stereotypical, blatantly anti-Semitic cartoons but many of them riff off the politics of how the Holocaust is being exploited in relation to political events. Thanks for posting the link.
I think my favorite so far is the picture of people of different faiths in a concentration campy-style setting, each wearing a symbol of their religion on their prisoner's uniform, the camp's placard reading "Extremism".
