New medication dose, new side effects.
Blurry vision is not fun. I had this the first time when I started the migraine preventative... it went away- but it's highly annoying, and makes me feel like I'm going crazy- especially since it's my near-vision that's affected and I'm nearsighted. So, All of a sudden, my far away vision is fine, but I'm squinting at the screen here trying to type.

I may have to go out and buy a pair of reading glasses- the OTC ones for this week... It's hard to work when looking at your computer monitor is hard and you can't make out the letters.

I'm kinda tired of side effects. (can you tell?)

1. That's what a corneal transplant left me with
The other eye is farsighted, so I can still drive. However, the transplant eye is legally blind, which it was before the transplant. I barely get enough information through it to have depth perception, the only improvement from the surgery.

I keep drugstore glasses all over the place and put them on over my Coke bottle bottomed glasses to see anything close up. I do OK with a 20 inch computer screen, Ctrl+scroll, and progressive lenses. Installing a new lock set in my front door last week was a laugh a minute. It's cockeyed but it works, so it'll stay that way. I find I can cope with an LCD screen much better than a CRT screen. Thank goodness for auctions.

2. Do the drugstore glasses work well enough for you?
I sure don't have enmough money to do anything but drugstore glasses- largely 'cause I expect this to be transitory. (if it's not, it's time to go back down on the med and try something else.) Having screwed up vision is making the migraines worse... so... Yeah.. how's that for irony. BUt, I know it'll pass...(hopefully?) 'Cause I feel like I'm finally making some progress... Please let this be my magic bullet.

I'm finding it's easier to use my work computer than my laptop. But I should be using the laptop for this stuff... (eeek)

3. You can certainly try them
Actually, I have some antique glasses (1880s) that I bought for the frames that give me really good mid range vision, but I don't suggest that solution.

If you can get the drugstore jobs to work, go for it. If not, or if the condition doesn't clear up, call your doc. Eye strain headaches are no fun, either.

4. Ahhhh. I can see.
These glasses are ugly. But for $7.99, I guess I shouldn't have expected a designer frame...

5. HAH! I blinked first, it seems..
Had I waited one more day, the problem would have gone away on its own. So, I'm glad I only spent $7.99, and I can see again at close range.

The things you take for granted until...welll... they're not around!
