I am just getting over some sort of upper respiratory illness. I finally saw the doctor because it had lasted for two weeks.
I think it was flu or bronchitis. The doctor gave me an antibiotic, just in case it was bacterial, and cough medicine to use as needed. I haven't been taking the cough medicine much. I have finished the antibiotic.
I am so tired. I can't ever remember feeling this fatigued unless I did a lot of physical exercise.
I do take synthroid, a thyroid replacement. My overactive thyroid was destroyed with radiation a few years ago.
Has anyone ever experienced fatigue after bronchitis or the flu? How long did it last for you?
I am not asking for medical advice. I just wonder if anyone has had similar experiences.

i think many of us have fatigue that is dragging down our quality of life. especially since it is something that docs tend to pay little attention to. i know i have a hard time getting over routine illnesses, and a week or so of fatigue is my norm. hope you are feeling better by now.

I do try to understand what you live with every day. Fatigue is frustrating.
This bronchitis is hitting my area very hard. My doctor says it has been lasting three weeks for many people.
I am not over it yet. Maybe in another week I will have some energy.
I try to get a couple of things done every day.
