I am experiencing weakness in my left hand |
|
and I'm starting to get a concerned about it. It came on suddenly and, even though I can still make a fist and do a lot of things with my hand (like type) I can't lift things of any weight or open jars that I should be able to open. I went to the grocery store today and it was a trip. I kept thinking I was going to drop something.
The reason I'm worried is that I've also experienced a problem with my gait. I walk 3 miles every day just about. If I don't go too fast I'm ok. But if I push myself my leg starts to give out around 2 1/2 miles. It begins by me weaving back and forth then my left leg acts like it's not going to bear my weight. After a hesitation I can push off with it. If I keep on going I go lame. If I sit down for a while I can walk (slowly) home.
I had MRIs and some EMG done last year when I was worried about my leg and the tests came back inconclusive. But my leg still has a problem and now my hand is weak.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should do next? I kind of think I need to go back to a doctor but I don't want to look like a hypochondriac - and I don't know what kind of doctor to go to anyway.
Thanks for letting me go on.

1. See a Doctor IMMEDIATELY |
|
These are serious symptoms. Nobody here is a doctor who can diagnose you, and even a doctor could ot diagnose you without examining you, taking a history and reviewing past tests. You need to see a doctor tomorrow.

"See a doctor" is a very good idea as we at DU are unable to give out Medical advice.
