One of the reasons why the Orioles are off to a good start |
|
is they are winning big in the division. They are 12-4 in the AL East, the Sox are 11-10 in the AL East, the other three teams, the Yanks, Jays, and D Rays however are all below 500. BTW go Orioles, this may yet be our yera.

1. One of the reasons is their bats--they are crushing the ball... |
|
up and down the order. The Red Sox caught them off-stride last week, and were able to shut down their offense. Not so this week.
Last night, the Os' comeback against the Sox bullpen was hard to watch (at least for Red Sox fans), especially because of Foulke's shaky work so far this season.
Baltimore pitching has been about average so far this season, but with that intimidating offense, they are on a tear.

2. I looked at the team ERAs and the like from last year |
|
while in the library today, the Yanks only had a .01 ERA lower than us, yet were one game short of a pennant. Hopefully if our team ERA is in the early-mid 4's, we will be fine, and if the bats keep up, watch out. Yeah, while I was in Boston, some told me how they were amazed that they shut us out two games in a row.
