Can anyone recommend any financial/investment discussion forums,
Usenet groups, Google grouops, etc., that you think are worthwhile?

1. LOL! This one would be worthwhile if people used it!
Many threads that belong in this forum are posted in the "Economy" forum.

Sorry i'm not any help, but i don't use any other forums to discuss these things. I'm surrounded by it all day so i just read DU. (well, not entirely, but anyway)

If you have questions regarding your own personal portfolio, feel free to PM me. I can answer questions privately that i am unable to answer in a public forum.

3. FatWallet Finance
I love the forum, but you may have to sign up at FatWallet to view it. It's free, but don't spend all your money in the Hot Deals section. :)

BTW, here are some ways I've benefited from FWF:
I've financed my house with the lowest interest rate in the country at the time
Paid for a baby grand piano with 0% interest credit card
Put most of my car payments on a 0% interest credit card
Learned many things about spending and saving, etc that I'm too tired to think of tonight.

Have a look: http://www.fatwallet.com/c/52/

4. I just checked it out. Just browsing the names of the threads tells
me it's an interesting site. Thanks for the heads up.

5. Watch especially for
SUCKISSTAPLES and DaveHanson. FW really is a message board for deals, but has a finance section.

I would start by reading some of the stickies at the top with the "!" and then browse the threads. Here's my current/active favorite: http://www.fatwallet.com/t/52/746307/
