1. My impression of "fellow progressives" - especially here on DU

has been irrevocably changed by all of the brutal ridicule and groupthink I've witnessed here. Sure, there are similar Hillary supporter sites bashing Obama, but DU was in my mind Democratic Underground, not Obama Underground, and certainly not full of hateful mob-rule freeperish idiots brutally bashing good Democrats and Dem supporters as witnessed all over the board at present.

2. I Don't Have Very Much Respect for "Progressives" Right Now

3. Thanks for posting this.

The thing that occurred to me is, Obama has never had to run against a really competent and determined opponent before. He's either taken them out beforehand thru legalistic trickery, or, as in his Senate race against Alan Keyes, had a candidate who was a joke. If this is the only way he knows to fight--playing the racism and sexism cards thru surrogates for all they're worth--what does it say about his character?

Many of the same points have been made in both places. I am glad Mr. Stephen is adding his voice and once again calling attention to a very serious problem.
