Just for my curiosity I searched for recent posts by her and found them pretty much in line with DU. So I don't know what her sins were.

I don't remember who wrote it, and I don't recall the exact wording, but I have a pretty good recall of what the gist of it was and it's quite fascinating that someone was so upset by it they alerted.

When I was a little girl, we would go to a local theme park called Storytown (it's a 6 Flags now). There's a section called "Ghost Town" that's based on the old, wild west. There were daily shows, huge things, where a "sheriff" would deputize a few hundred kids and we'd run around shooting (using our fingers) bad guys. Everytime there's a tombstone party, it reminds me of the old jubilation when one of those actors fell off a roof, shot.

If online communities don't take precautionary steps in the future to protect themselves from the rancor of over-involved deputies, they'll crumble a little bit more, every four years.

That either the admins have decided to throw everything they have behind Obama (and if that's the case, I don't have a problem with it - I just wish they'd say so), just like how the DNC is moving HQ to Chicago, or they're so busy in meetings and handling the business end that they don't really see what's going on.

I never placed anyone on ignore nor used the alert button. I have seen up close what dictatorships do to countries and I value freedom of expression. It disturbs me that posters have to walk on eggs lest they be banned. I understand that a modicum of restraint is necessary to keep the boards civil, but sometimes it seems excessive.
