Obama Knew....
Disinvitation by Obama Is Criticized

CHICAGO, March 5 — The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., senior pastor of the popular Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago and spiritual mentor to Senator Barack Obama, thought he knew what he would be doing on Feb. 10, the day of Senator Obama’s presidential announcement.
After all, back in January, Mr. Obama had asked Mr. Wright if he would begin the event by delivering a public invocation.

But Mr. Wright said Mr. Obama called him the night before the Feb. 10 announcement and rescinded the invitation to give the invocation.

“Fifteen minutes before Shabbos I get a call from Barack,” Mr. Wright said in an interview on Monday, recalling that he was at an interfaith conference at the time. “One of his members had talked him into uninviting me,” Mr. Wright said, referring to Mr. Obama’s campaign advisers.

Some black leaders are questioning Mr. Obama’s decision to distance his campaign from Mr. Wright because of the campaign’s apparent fear of criticism over Mr. Wright’s teachings, which some say are overly Afrocentric to the point of excluding whites.

So, if Obama cancelled Wright appearing with him when he
announced he was running for President, he must have known
how 'controversial' Wright is.

He knew according to this....

According to the pastor, Mr. Obama then told him, “You can get kind of rough in the sermons, so what we’ve decided is that it’s best for you not to be out there in public.”

1. So much for O's saying that his church 'isn't that controversial.' Right.
Thanks, CJ. There's more where this came from, I'm sure.

2. He knew all along.
Oprah even had the good sense
to distance herself publicly
from Wright years ago.
I feel this is only the tip of
the iceberg of Obama's 'dirty
laundry' that has been overlooked
by the media thus far.

3. On faux he said he only heard 'of" one controversial statement that he disclaimed
all the rest were news to him...I guess he only lets loose when BO ain't there....for the past 20 years...

5. If Obama knew Wright could get 'rough'
when speaking in public, he had
heard him say things he knew would
not be readily acceptable by the
masses.

4. Him saying that he didn't know is the weakest argument he could possibly have.
I mean, he belonged to this church for 20 years -

I am not an Obama fan, but he is not that stupid.

6. I don't buy that argument for 1 second.
Wright was Obama's mentor and
spiritual advisor. Obama consulted
and prayed with this man about Obama
announcing he would be running for the
nomination. Obama sat in this man's
Church for 20 years, I promise you he
knows where Wright stands.

10. What did O know and when did he know it
All along he knew that this preacher wright was a brick shy in the load, yet he continued to sing his praises. Gerry Ferraro is nothing like this guy and her comments were truthful. Rev Wright makes little sense and in some vids I fully expected him to start banging his head against the wall.

11. Of course he knew. And tonight, his NEW pastor compares Wright to Jesus!
On CNN, in an interview. Did anyone else see it? Rev. Otis Moss III called Wright, “An incredible, powerful, prophetic voice of this age.” This is how Obama’s NEW pastor describes Wright TONIGHT.

Obama is sinking. Sinking. Sinking...

15. obama told wright, "it’s best for you not to be out there in public.”
Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 11:28 PM by flordehinojos
but he remained A SPIRITUAL ADVISOR TO THE CAMPAIGN !!!!!!!!!

a spiritual advisor to the campaign spilling his hate (or as obama put it his pain) on to the campaign.

No wonder hillary gets to be called, "a monster".
No wonder Bill Clinton's Jessee Jackson comments get to be reframed as racists.
No wonder Geraldine Ferraro gets to be called "an old bitch."

And ... still, (probably under the spiritual counseling of rev. wright) Baracka Obama gets on national television and says that he is the bridge between the past pain and the future hope.

But Barack Obama has been about stirring up the rage which accompanies the pain.
And he says so smoothly, and so swiftly ... like a con man ... or GWB ... lying through his teeth, that he is the bridge to the future of hope

A campaign of hope does not turn-on the spigot of pain or rage.

Maybe his black brothers and sisters in congress who stand with Hillary know something about BO that the rest of us don't know.

For sure they know that Hillary is the better candidate.

They know that Hillary's policies offer the hope of better jobs, more security, better health care, more people insured, affordable education, a better way to pay off college loans.

Maybe they don't like Obama's under the radar pursuit of incendiary passions.

All this reawakening of pain and rage is a road that leads me to think about the Mau Maus in Africa.

Baracka Obama is said to have admired his father who is said to have admired or have had ties with the Mau Maus in Africa.

Already there have been threats that if he does not get the nomination, that if he does not get the presidency there will be riots in the streets of america,

Baracka Obama is not who he portrays himself to be.

Wright is said to have resigned from being a spiritual advisor to the campaign. HOwever, Baracka Obama has not cut his ties to wright. He continues to think of him as a family member. Family members have access to each other. Wright may not be advising the campaign. But BO is certainly still giving him his whole ear, heart and soul for wright to ply and mold and instruct and counsel.

Fidel Castro was never a communist, until he admitted that he was one ... long after it was too late to do anything about it.

Spitzer swore that he never cheated on his wife ... that is, until he got caught.

In this crucial time, this nation needs to be alert and awake...and it needs not to let itself be lead into false spiritual promised lands which might turn out to be the hellish nightmare everyone is wanting to avoid.

Dan Quayle is no Jack Kennedy.
Barack Obama is no Martin Luther King Jr. much as he says he is.

The time to wake up is now, sooner rather than later.
