Bad news, good news
The bad news: I no longer see any point in going to a buffet style restaurant (with the exception of Souper Salad), because I can't eat enough at one time anymore to justify going in the first place.

The good news: My appetite is shrinking so much that I won't be bothering with buffets much anymore!

I went to a Chinese buffet today, just for a change of pace. $10 each for dinner with drinks, and the food was actually much better than when I went to this one a few months ago. I ate two plates of food, most of which consisted of shrimp, vegetables and mussels in their shells, so the mussel shells took up more room than anything. I remember not too long ago when fourths were no problem at all, and I had to laugh when there were still about 5 or 6 different selections I hadn't even gotten to yet, and I had to say "oh well, too damn bad... maybe next time, if there IS a next time." I did manage grab a cone with a little bit of swirled chocolate and vanilla soft serve as we headed for the door. It was nice to savor it as it began melting in the heat of the evening. Coulda done without the sticky hands afterwards, though. :)

I never thought I'd see the day....

1. It is amazing when your appetite shrinks.
A few weeks ago I ordered what I often order at one my favorite eateries. In the past I had no problem finishing it, but that day I had to take half home.
Keep up the good work, you help keep me motivated.

2. That's great, Gentle Giant!
I'm finding the same thing...in fact, I even have to eat when I'm not hungry in order to take in enough calories.

In a weird way, I'm blessed :silly: with terrible nausea if my stomach even gets 3/4 full, so it prevents overeating in the first place.
