So I remarked about the TandA all over TYT---result? the usual.
jerk offs calling me a prude, Phyllis Schlafly, you know the drill. Completely and willfully missing my point in their rush to protect their thwacking rights......

How can anyone not see the hypocrisy in posting critique of sexism, using a Maxim-style bimbo shot as a cover-pic? ("Republican Uses Porn to Block Science!") I looked at TYT's vid-list and it's saturated with demeaning to women so-called news ("Pole-Dancers!" "Biggest Boobs!" "Cenk's Hottest Women!" "Scientist Sexual Harassment!")

If anyone is so inclined to explain the point, I wouldn't mind the support. I replied to one (a chick! Sorry hope that's not offensive terminology, but it seems a good word to use for young women who think they are tough, cool and inoculated against sexist trivialization by their siding with the guys that bimbonifying women is "all in good fun", so get a sense of humor, you prude), but frankly, I don't feel like ruining my evening getting all pissed off in a fight with the terminally dick-brained.

I'm not sure how worth it it is, though. When you make your point clearly and still get the usual defense reaction.....arguing in kind never gets anywhere.
However, who knows--aside from the hopelessly dick-centric, pointing out hypersexualization of women (it's a frikkin epidemic) might be educational.

Just don't ruin YOUR evening if it makes you too angry!

1. When I bother to argue
I go for the historical patriarchal religious influences and subsequent sexual repression angle. Which is true for those kind of folks. When one is not, or no longer sexually repressed, and/or discards malignant sexual influences you look at that bullshit an entirely different way, as in What. The. Fuck.

And you can screw like a bunny and still have significant repression, it's just acting out.

It's why some women use the Halloween holiday to dress like a 'naughty nurse, a dominatrix or a 'hooker'. (I use the word whore, but that *is* offensive to many in, except a a pejorative. The real life whores I know don't mind it. "If you paying you can call me what you want" which is really a thread in itself.

2. I don't have historical knowledge immediately available

and when it comes to that kind of ignorant ad hominem attack mode they go into, it's probably not worth it to take the time to research an instructive post!

If I do get into it with them, it's more to call out and analyze their poor argumentation....
I absolutely hate that brainless knee-jerk PRUDE insult so typically used against the big bad Feminists. They use it because it has tended to be so effective in shaming women.... Part of me wants to respond to that because it IS such a shoddy insult to logic, but.....again, just not in the mood to argue it. Plus, the expected reaction is for the insulted woman to feel she needs to defend her sexuality. Fuck that pleading my sex-life to morons! And it was three of those idiots against one. I'm not up for providing pile-on entertainment to shit heads!!

Bitch magazine has an article now about the extreme media misogyny choking the airwaves for the past 30 years (I think?) in Italy, as a result of Berlusconi, prime minister by way of media ownership connections. So he owns the airwaves and is a flaming misogynist. To him, women are really nothing but life support for titsntwat, and his programming shows it. AND< it has an effect on women there. The atmosphere is horrible for women. Apparently, a movement against it is gaining speed now.

4. History in this area is interesting
But you're right, useless to argue. I agree it's irritating to listen to disparaging comments against the sexuality or politics of the feminist, who simply doesn't measure every ounce of her person hood against who wants to fuck her.

So, on occasion I simply turn it around. I feel no need to defend my sexuality, but I can certainly point out what is weird, wrong and repressed about sexuality based on misogyny. Homophobia, for instance, has clear misogynist roots. The sex industry thrives on it. Then there is always those wankers who think they're sexually sophisticated because they never challenge the what is really the status quo. Fucking boring, man. Having no sexual imagination that isn't feed to them by the media they tend to be tedious and repetitive and *have* no logic on the topic. It's much more fun to argue in real life, when you can see expressions and reactions.

3. hypocrites. cenk had a show on underwear guy posed. cenk could not handle the picture. secs after
get picture off he says, get it off, ok, enough..... cenks penis shriveled. a male provocative and sexual.... is a threat. intimidates the man. as he insists he is a pig, proud of being a pig, and goes out of his way to be a pig. his penis grows. this says a lot about the man.

now, another show i remember, talking about if he has a daughter and a son. sex for daughter, 18. sex for son , 16. all the things wrong with this as he lectures us women that women strippin down for him to reduce them to a "hit" "tag" "piece" (notice the language, lol)is progressive.

why different age because of gender? if it is about empowerment of womens sexuality there is no reasoning. further his daughter should have it at 14 and son at 16 since girls are more mature than boys as a whole. why an age anyway? since he promotes the right without boundaries, ever.....

i like the man. i listen to him often. almost everyday. his political stuff.

but he uses these women to feel like a man. these very men that use women to feel like a man are the ones that would be most intimidated by a woman doing this with a mans package. they would equate to their worth, ability to satisfy a woman and resent a woman doing the same thing with a man, as he does with a woman. that says a whole lot about him.

IF these men really thought it wasnt a big deal there would be discussion and sexual poses as men too. that intimidates them. if the women that are into this really was not buying into the conditioning, it would not only be women, but men too. and they would be doing the same with men. they dont. they arent. look at the very few threads on du that has a man on a pole or something, and women dont do it to a man. they too have been conditioned to do it with women. and women only. by a male culture, that says oh goody.

what woman has so little self repsect that she reduces herself to a hit, tag, do it, piece? why do women allow men to talk to them that way. why dont they just say a huge ass eeeeeeew, to the man.
