Blaming the Victim?
Even after the doctor admitted to it, some of his patients still defend him and trash the victim.
I don't know what to say.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- A Crestwood doctor is charged with sodomizing a female patient, but some patients are speaking out in the doctor's defense. After those spirited defenses, however, Fox 41 News learned from a police report that the doctor admitted to the crime.

<snip>

Rosenthal and many other female patients have contacted Fox 41 saying the same thing -- that Doctor Alur has never done anything inappropriate.

But Monday, one 38-year-old patient told police that Dr. Alur sexually assaulted her in his office about a week ago. He was arrested at his primary care clinic in Crestwood, Ky. Monday night and charged with first degree sodomy.

<snip>

"She said it happened in the office?" asks Rosenthal. "Baloney. There's no way. You can hear everything from room-to-room-to-room in that place because it's an old building."

But according to the report, Dr. Alur admitted to police that he assaulted the patient. He told police the incident lasted for 30 seconds to one minute. He said that he was distracted and tempted, and that caused him to do this. He told police he was sorry for the incident."

3. Wow! It's always amazing how people rush to defend
anyone accused of a sex crime, as if it's impossible for any man to ever be guilty.

Even after he has admitted it, I'll bet people are still defending him and blaming her. :(

He was "distracted?" What does that even mean? He was so distracted that he wasn't consciously maintaining his deliberate effort to not sexually assault this woman?

Is he saying that unless he makes a deliberate, conscious effort then his normal inclination, his default mental state is to sexually assault any woman who is nearby? Being a civilized man who is safe to be around takes a continuous effort of will for him? Is that really his defense?

:wtf:

I'm glad that he at least had the decency to admit his responsibility.

4. He was following Bush's mandate to practice his love with his women patients.
:wow: *shudder*

It just struck me how adamant that woman was in defending him even after he had admitted guilt. I couldn't believe it.

6. good one! The defenders sound like the clergy pedophile-defenders.
It's as if they are saying: "Since you've been nice to me, you are by definition a great person. I am totally unconcerned about how you may have treated others. In fact, I am so self-centered that I unable to conceive of the possibility that my experience isn't universal."
