I've noticed several posts here from people undergoing serious personal or health difficulties, and I am sure there are others who are but just haven't said anything. I wanted to wish all of you well and that your difficulties end as soon as possible. I am so glad that Skinner and others have worked so hard to provide this community.

I've been kind of down this week due to the death of an acquaintance - a very nice woman who died way too young. We weren't close or anything, but her kids are in the same classes as my kids, and it's all just so very sad. :cry:

And I wish everyone good wishes as well. I have been through a very traumatic last two months, and now hopefully, things look like they might be going way, way up! Big changes about to come to my life, but good ones!

Short version of my story: I was date-raped beginning of June, guy kept stalking me after that. Think he's finally given up. 3 weeks after the rape, I had to put my beloved dog to sleep, completely unexpectedly (pancreatic cancer). Been in a lot of pain from the assault, going to physical therapy, etc. Finally am feeling better.

So, my good news is I have an interview on Monday for a job I REALLY want. It's in my hometown (I'm 1100 miles away right now) and I REALLY want to move back home. The job is something I would love to do, and one of my best friends works there already, and is friends with the guy who would be my boss and who is doing the hiring! I'm SO excited!

So, that's my update... thanks again for the good thoughts!

I'm so sorry about your doggie :cry: :hug: Pets are such good friends to us. My dogs are so intuitive. When they sense I'm feeling down they lay next to me and give me kisses. It's so sweet.
