some people had posted in this forum that the then-Women's World forum was "wussy," "wishy-washy," and basically just a place for "misogynist men to spew." I was curious, in a sick way. So I went, and I didn't see anything too heinous...for a while...and then...YUCK. And creepy. I'm so scared to go look in there at the moment, at whatever is so bad it has Velma using the term "cesspit." I've had such a calm, placid day...so peaceful...

Any of these rape cases in the news that involve even college level players really brings out the idiots.

I rather doubt these guys actually wait for a "yes". They're playing by different rules (rules that lead to rape). And the poster who wanted to "get his post count up" - was he trying to sound like he was an adolescent again with obsessions of how many women he "scored"? The "game" never ends. And it's just a game to these people. But they sure get defensive about it.


I think it would be good thing - even if "women's rights" isn't a "group" to keep people out of the forum who aren't interested in women's rights at all. It shouldn't be all about people who want to reduce women's rights and defend rape. There is more than enough of that in GD.

We couldn't keep the misogynists out of the Women's Rights Forum, so we petitioned Admin to get this group started. We were sick of fighting the same old battles in that forum. Now we can have quiet conversations here amongst ourselves, (mostly) free from the crap found elsewhere. It's a shame it had to come to that, but the Women's Rights Forum *is* a public one.
