I have done my best to NOT post on any of threads in GD, but I have read them. I am blown away by the intelligence displayed by so many of my sisters (and a few brothers as well;)) this past week. Your ability to articulate yourselves with wit and humour, with passion, wisdom and humanity. So many posts had me cheering for you from my computer keyboard. I thank you all for speaking out for so many that so often don't get an opportunity to speak up for themselves.

Forgive me for not being more specific. I initially thought I'd do a best of the best and name some of the names of those that were particularly inspiring. Frankly, I just can't handle having to read through some of those awful posts again. :scared:

I know it's been hard as hell, but you've fought the good fight. I'm delighted and proud to be a part of this group and in awe of so many here. Though this week has brought out such ugliness from so many in regard to sex, class and race--you've handled yourselves with dignity and grace. My compliments to you all! :hi:

:yourock: GD has been a cesspit of nastiness between the rape threads and the immigration nonsense and it was nice to see some fresh air. I lurk more than I participate since it takes me forever to formulate myself and I just wanted to say congrats for getting the viewpoint out there. For my own blood pressure, I've hidden all of those threads but thank you for making them a little better than they would otherwise be. So have a :beer: on me and felicidades to everybody participating.
