Discuss. BlueIris is particularly interested in this story from a propaganda perspective--why is the corrupt MSM running this story now? What is its angle here?

1. A cautionary tale from the concern trolls at WAPO to remind
us uppity women to sit down and STFU. That's, in my opinion, the propaganda perspective.

Remember Edward's bloggers who were attacked for their blogs were also women.

We see some of this happening here. Currently, there is an effort to start yet another separate group so Pro-Choice women (and men) can discuss pro-choice issues without the constant disruptions from trolls (and others) that hang out here.

We have to have a separate group for Feminists since we're shouted down, attacked and harassed in the main forums.

Rape and threats of rape have been used against women since "time immemorial" to remind us of the costs of speaking out. But, I wouldn't worry about it since, as the apologists remind us, we're just "asking for it" and we really want it to happen. So, I'm sure it's no big deal. :sarcasm:

2. This story must have reached critical mass somewhere else.
There's no way the Wash.Post decided on their own to look into this and research it. Fans of those blogs must be raising a stink and the Was.Post probably decided it was a good "novelty" story worth running with.
