1. So what's the difference |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-26-07 05:02 PM by lizerdbits
of being a stay at home mom and getting child support and staying home because you have the kids other than paying for another place to live? She's still doing the same things (the dozen or so things you listed in one of your responses). Plus the cost of day care would probably negate most or all of her salary, depending on what kind of education/skills she has, and if she's not worked outside the home for 10 years her skills probably are out of date. And then she'd have to get MORE money from him to cover the day care costs. The reason I don't have kids is the amount of WORK involved, and I don't really have that much patience.
I'm not vegan or even vegetarian but I'm sick of this veganism is bad for kids crap. Two recent cases that were widely publicized. And it wasn't veganism, it was poor nutrition. If my sister fed her 3 month plain old old cows milk or pureed meat mixed with water to make it thinner he'd have problems. (I know that's OT in the feminist group but it was just bothering me :) )

3. Sorry, it's a habit from the pseudoscience forum |
|
Where we discus irrationality instead of getting involved in threads where we are accused of being "big pharma shills" for questioning the effectiveness of treatments that are advertised on websites with testimonials instead of tested in placebo controlled studies. But this guy isn't name calling.

I work harder taking care of ONE 3-year old than I ever did when I had a "real" job.
I hate the double standard - women are often expected to take primary responsibility for childcare, but are then given no credit for the very hard work they do...
