Is my seatbelt causing this? |
|
Some of my slacks get "Pills" or just looking scruffy just at the bottom of, and below the left pocket.
At first I thought keys in my pocket were causing this so I quit putting keys in my pocket.
Now I think it's my seatbelt, which I always wear (thanks to the OP of that thread for reminding me to post about this.)
Anyone else experience this problem? What can I do to prevent this?

1. I've seen "sheep-skin" seat belt sleeves or covers |
|
advertised in catalogs. Maybe online? Maybe would help?

3. Also look into replacing your slacks with natural fibers |
|
once the ones you have finally give up the ghost. Synthetics and blends pill horribly with any friction at all.
There is a cheap little plastic gadget you can get at knitting and fabric shops that will "shave" the pills off.
Sheepskin or fake fur around that part of the seatbelt might help a little, but any synthetic fabric exposed to friction will pill. It will just do so more slowly under fake fur.
