Party Favors?
I'm celebrating my 60th birthday in Golden Gate Park with a bike ride and picnic and brainstorming on practical and environmentally friendly party favors and decorations. So far I have adhesive reflector stickers and reusable shopping bags as gifts. What else? And what can I use to decorate bikes and guests that doesb't create trash? (All cutlery, plates, etc., will be compostable, cloth napkins, no plastic water bottles.) Looking for fun suggestions.

you can decorate the bikes with living ivy, there's lots of that around the bay area that can be cut without hurting anything

you could make everyone a 'weather rock' as a gift, just paint the rock with the instructions.....

The Weather Rock is the perfect weather indicator, it never fails.
The Weather Rock is 100% correct, 100% of the time.

How to use the Weather Rock
Place your Weather Rock in the location that you would like to check the weather (usually outside).

How to read your Weather Rock
Rock dry – fair
Rock wet – rainy
Rock swaying – windy
Rock has shadow – sunny
Rock no shadow - cloudy
Rock white – snowy
Rock bouncing – earthquake
Rock under water – flood
Rock flashing - lightning
Rock missing - tornado

Your Weather Rock also indicates the seasons
Rock cold - winter
Rock wet - spring
Rock hot - summer
Rock covered by leaves - fall

reusable personal water containers that aren't plastic and safe to use for favors. I can't remember the brand name of them.

Happy 60th, Betsy. I hope the day brings you all the joy it should.

Edited to add: Damn! I just saw how old the OP is. Man these forums can move really, really slow. :eyes:
