Crap. I was hoping this would fade away. Good luck to gulf coasters. |

If anyone wants to take a trip up to the pacific northwet, drop me a line. If there is anything I, or we, can do to help you prepare for Gustav, please post a topic and let us know. Thanks.

The Pac NW is just a little too far away for an evacuation run, I think.

I agree, if it were me, I'd go only a bit further than nec in order to return home asap. Good luck to you.

5. hiya, are you still out to sea off W coast? |
|
I think you are the person who is there, moved out west after Katrina if I'm wrong, my apologies. Katrina and Rita brought a lot of us together, looks like Gustav may also. We need to work together, best wishes for you and all affected.

6. Your memory is correct. |

I moved away after Katrina and live on a sailboat off the CA coast.
I was really rattled last night, but am very glad to see the storm is weakening this morning. Please remind me of your Katrina experience. I hope you are well out of the way of Gustav!

7. Hiya, I live in the Pacific nw |
|
I went to camp Casey 8/05, then went down to LA to help a couple of wks after Katrina hit, joining with VFP group who went there also, have been back a couple times since to do little bits, mostly yelling about it (spreading the word and photos and helping raise consciousness and a little bit of cash/supplies). Found out since that I was in a F5 tornado as a toddler, which helped me understand a bit more of why being in the disaster zone hit me so hard, moreso than those I was with. I'm glad Gustav settled down, hoping people are ok and the aftermath continues to improve.
