The scheduled trip is 36 hours, but it usually runs over a few hours.
I had a lower berth. I almost went coach, but I'm glad now I didn't. You'll be 2 nights on the train.
An older man in our group went coach, and he was OK with it, sleeping lying across several seats. However, he was told the train was more crowded in the wintertime--and a person might not be able to do that.
I went by train because I wanted to see as much of Canada as I could.

Do you want to see Northern Manitoba or do you just want to get to Churchill to see the bears? :)
Lots of flights I would think, from Winnipeg. On the smaller airlines. :)
edit: Just noticed the original post is from 2006. Did you make your trip? LOL
