I thought this might be as good a group as any in which to ask. I'm starting to think I should look into a used RV for dog show travel (as opposed to trying to pack 5 big dogs into a hotel room and then juggling them back and forth at the show), but truly I know zilch about the subject. What does one look for? What are good (and bad) models? How long does it take to learn to drive such a monster? (I've driven large U-Haul trucks and small RVs, but nothing really huge.) I likely can't afford one of the really huge ones like an apartment on wheels with the nice slide-out sections, but I just wanted to get an overview of others' experience.

Theres a good forum here: http://www.rv.net/forumAlso browse used ones at http://www.rvtraderonline.comFleetwood and Winnebago are 2 of the biggest companies out there. Most used RVs will need some repairs here and there.
