I thought it was an interesting parallel over the problem that is being presented here about all those illegal aliens from south of the border, and particulary since Georgians (not from the USA) are the original Caucasians.

2. I thought it was kind of interesting because the Georgians

come from the Caucacus Mountain region of the Black Sea and are the original Caucasians. In Greek mythology it was known as Colchis in Jason and the Argonauts, the home of Medea. I thought our more Xenophobic DUers would find that informative. I guess I was wrong.

4. The Georgians were once part of the Soviet Union. They

won their independence from Russia when the Soviet Union collapsed. Unfortunately, their economy collapsed with it. Now they seem to have become personas non grata in a country they once were able to work and visit in freely. Did you know that Stalin was a Georgian?

This seems to be somewhat parallel to our experience here in the USA when the Southwest was once part of Spain and then Mexico. When the USA annexed the Southwest then the Mexicans and other Latinos became persona non grata in what was once their country. Weird isn't it? This is why I refuse to call anyone an illegal human being. Anyone in power can make any demographic they chose illegal. Hitler did it to the German Jews. Russia is doing it to the Georgians and we are doing it to the Latino Americans.

I give up. It seems hopeless to try to educate people about their prejudices. There is another racist thread now in GD by the same DUer who seems to get away with it but this time she's targeting Muslim women instead of Hispanics.

Why would they lock a thread without comment that no one was looking at anyway?
