I had my one year follow-up radiation scan this morning and I'm cancer free. Nothing in my neck and nothing anywhere it shouldn't be. Hubby took me out for a real meal after the hospital--first really solid meal in 3 weeks. And I got to take my synthroid again. Should be back to feeling "normal" within a week or two. Will gladly get rid of this chronic tiredness and all the aches and pains of being hypothyroid. Thanks for all the support and just listening you've all done during the waiting on this test. You guys are the best!

I love hearing this. May all future scans show NED! I'll bet that meal was tasty :)

So glad to hear it and glad you can have regular food again! Yikes, do you have to do this every year?

4. I did it last year before post surgical radiation treatment and |

this year pre-followup diagnostic. The radiologist told me that I would most likely never have to do this again. Hoping that's true.
