Brute force of the 1% to force the 99% into subservience.

8. These cops are terrorists |
|
These cops remind me of the Pinkertons who were hired by big business to terrorize workers who wanted to unionize in the late 19th century. Whatever respect I once held for police officers has evaporated to near zero because of how they're brutalizing unarmed protestors who only want at least some level of economic justice for all. Don't these cops have a conscience? Don't they have a sense of justice? Hell, don't they have functional brains?

Someday, life is going to imitate art, the wrong vet will get pushed too far, and there will be a lot of cops on involuntary disability leave all of a sudden. It will not have a happy ending.
I never was a big fan of calling cops "pigs," but I never was a big fan of cops acting like pigs, either.

gets in the cops faces about 3 times and waves a guitar over his head like his going to assault them with it. In the middle of this video when she is bleeding he gets a "Legalize Marijuana" sign into the shot with her.
He is provoking the cops but who do they punch? And at 48 sec the potty mouth cop who soon punches the woman is laughing while watching the hat guy do his thing.

19. The fauxrage here is ridiculous. This taped confrontation wasn't about any pressing issue. |
|
This was over who could be where for the next five minutes.
The vid doesn't show anyone striking that woman, tho it appears she was clearly struck in some fashion. She may have been hit by one of the others being pushed back behind the fence. We don't know, we don't see it.
This seems to be more about people with some fetish to confront authority than it does the screwing we all are receiving at the hands of the corporate state.
Noise like this video and the knee-jerk responses it provokes drown out the real message.

Sorry, but I cannot feel any sympathy for them under those circumstances.
Why didn't she go somewhere else where there was no jackass contender jumping around and show the papers to someone?
Shit like this causes us Occupiers to LOSE more support than to gain it.

To get her nose broken for what someone else did? You're right, it IS understandable. Because it's probablywhat the cop does to his wife and kids when he gets home after a tough day of sucker punching 100 lb. women.

The idiot with a flag is trying to get into the park where he has a right to freely go. It doesn't matter if he is an idiot or what he wears or even if he thinks pot should be legal. If he is an American citizen, then he has a right to enter the park.... the "papers" say so.
The question is why don't the Police let him into the park, and if they are not... then they should tell him exactly why. What danger is he or the woman or anyone there to the public?
If he is actually trying the start shit, then why would the police allow him to do so? Don't they get trained how to dismantle such situations?
It boils down, in this instance, to police and their stupid reaction to the situation. Just stand there and push back is all they got?

First of all, the guy claims to be assaulted when he jumps over the fence and gets his foot caught on the railing. The woman, something obviously happened cause she was pushed back but its kind of hard to make out what actually happed.
Still, they are in their right to protest and those cops are powertripping like hell.

what allow them to arrest and haul people away (Not that they haven't been doing that even unprovoked!)
I DO agree, however, on the shrillness of the protester. But that is presumably is what crowd control training prepares cops for.

|
Our American fondness for violence leads me to believe the crowds will begin to fight back at some point. We're not gonna just take it. Passive resistance is hard to do.
The police will fight for awhile. Then a trickle of them will start joining the protesters. More will just throw down their batons and walk away.

If a lawful order from the court is not enforced by the police or the political arm of the government, then we are back in the 1960s. Either our rights and civil liberties matter or we no longer live in a democracy by, of, and for the people.

45. The one cop was really enjoying "his job." |
|
The cop in the middle (during the first part) smiled bigger each time he was able to inflict injury on the people. That is indicative of so many cops. They became cops (not peace officers) to intimidate and bully people. Their enjoyment of assaulting innocent protestors should be used to fire them. We do not need a bunch of bully's hiding behind their badges (not the law). They know that no matter what they do to these citizens, their "fellow officers" will lie to protect them. This is so reminiscent of school yard bully's and the sheer joy they expressed whenever they were able to harm or intimidate the less aggressive kids. This guy would be right at home in prison, where his type are always shown for the cowards they are.
