1. Thanks Thom. Roemer came off as a sane fellow at first.
Until his insistence on "for profit" everything became evident. I don't know that I want this fellow in the debates. He could possibly win the nomination and there are enough conservative, for profit voters, that he could become a threat. His demeanor and some of his ideas are populist enough that he could attract a lot of the undereducated or entitled voters.

I wish voting were mandatory for every citizen. Especially if we were able to reinstate the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE so that people are exposed to honest facts that enabled them to decide the issues based on these facts.

"Your crazy Thom," started the revelation of a true GOP'er.

2. I wouldn't vote for Roemer, but I would like to see him in the GOP debates
His views on health care are out in right field (yes, as a matter of fact, I would like to private health insurance companies vanish from the American landscape). Neveretheless, it would be nice to see Roemer remind people what a conservative is in contrast to right wing extremists who hijacked the word long before Reagan became president.

3. At least he acknowledges the problem...
... Most of the other "candidates" basically say the health care system is a bit too expensive but otherwise is just fine. Would eliminating the insurance companies state by state monopolies be at least as effective as the glorified request on percentage spent on actual health care in the AHCA? "Sure, we'll spend 85% of premiums on health care. We'll just jack the rates to a point where our number of dollars of profit remains at least constant or increases!" Face it. While there are differing positions than ours on any given issue, not all of them or those that hold them are "evil".
