Edited on Sat Jan-16-10 11:29 AM by dcsmart
Clinton, and GW Bush was excellent. Our president made a great choice by bringing these two former presidents together. George had some nice things to say and he seemed genuinely happy to be there. And, what better way to make a first public appearance: helping out a Democratic Pres.

1. Yes, I watched it. I'm sure teabaggers were quite disgusted. |
|
I'm so happy to have President Obama right now.

2. I still don't know why, but tears came to my eyes. |
|
Emotional, I guess, about so many things -- and for some unknown reason, this was the time they spilled over.

3. Maybe because for one moment in time politics were put aside. |
|
It was a good moment and I hope former Presidents Clinton and Bush raise a bunch of money and keep on top of this for years to come.

8. I guess I am sour grapes on this.. |
|
I didn't see the press conference but every news coverage of it I have seen only show georgie and his little speech. I still can't stand seeing the man and have to change the channel. I don't blame Obama for calling on him because some of the dummies like rushie may have to shut the f*ck up now and those that worship at rush and bush's feet may be more willing to give and shut the f*ck up. Oh, and I blame the media for giving the spotlight to bushie again. :grr:

never change unless they go the way of the dinosaurs.
Fortunately, we know it's about Haiti now..and we have a president who understands that.

and his ignorant behavior. And I don't mean Obama. I like Obama and am thankful for him and his coolness under pressure.

11. I understand. That's why I was so puzzled that I was somehow moved. |
|
I was waiting for the three of them to come out, and I had my hate on real good, just wondering what W was going to say, and how. I think it may have been different viewing it all, with Obama speaking first, then Bush and then Clinton. It just for some reason touched me as it played out.
If Bush is getting all the attention, that's unfortunate. It was the three of them, so different, together that made the event -- and that completed the plea across the spectrum for generosity.

12. Yeah, it was because all they showed was bush. |
|
If they had showed them all three equal then it would have been different. Oh well, this is so little for me to find fault with. I will get over it. ;)

15. No this was CNN and MSNBC |
|
but like I said this was not the press conference, this was just a short report in between the Haiti coverage. I changed channels after only a few minutes of it. I have seen it since then when they have showed Obama (I'm watching it now on MSNBC) and them. It was just earlier that the other was done. I TAKE IT ALL BACK!!!! ;)
