Anderson Cooper reports that Gov. Rendell was able to get a plane over to Haiti to pick up 28 orphan children. I guess the women that own the agency handling the adoptions are from Pennsylvania. At the same time, Doctors without Borders wasn't able to get a plane in today and had to land 3 hours away and drive to Port Au Prince.
Anderson was miffed, and wanted to know a governor from a democratic state was able to get a plane in, but others were turned away.
This is getting more messy.

1. If there is no controversy |
|
and how could there not be in Haiti?..they will create it. Why can't they just be happy for the 28 orphan children and not worry about Democrats/repukes?

3. he finished up by saying he was happy for the kids that got out |
|
etc. but didn't drop the issue for a bit. They are going to try and exploit ANYTHING they can, to offer some political angle.

2. Doctors without Borders got three of their planes in today |
|
What they did not get in was one or two planes loaded with supplies, but that is suppose to be cleared up now. Whether it is or not I do not know. I just know what they said on the tv. They are promising to have everything in order tomorrow.
I'm not there so I don't know what is going on. I'll just wait and see what happens tomorrow.

5. I heard an NPR reporter say their plane was diverted as they almost crashed due to another planes |
|
backwash, the planes were landing so close together. It's a mess alright, but don't believe the limited perspective of the MSM - they have NO idea how complicated it is to get this done in a country with NO infrastructure. (Just like DUers who have lots of advice to give on how to run a major operation ;) )

You'd think AC360 would update but seems they just repeat the same footage over and over. (((Sigh)))
