he would have run for Congress, got himself a nice back bench seat, and spent his time voting against Democratic bills because they are "not good enough" and making joke runs for president. He would get nothing done, but all the progressives would say "I wish he would be president, but he can't because the corporations would never let him." They wouldn't care that he basically accomplishes nothing for the progressive cause.
And if he were smart, he would have gotten his own show on MSNBC where he would spend his time railing against Democrats and dispiriting the base (and make big bucks doing it). Everything would be so easy if the Democrats just had "spine". He would tell everyone the easy answers. And when asked to put his money where his mouth is by running for office, he would say "nah, I'm doing so much good with my television show" even though the opposite would be true.
Instead, Obama wasn't so smart. He took responsibility for getting stuff done, with no friends or allies it seems. He wanted to make a difference rather than make himself look good. Maybe taking this path wasn't as smart for him personally, but it showed that he cared much more than if he had taken the other paths.

2. Exactly.. it was Obama who |
|
cared enough to run for President and win. There are some very passionate leaders who are there to help him accomplish what the opposition is attempting to render impossible..but, there are also obstructionists who should be helping but their egos are bigger than their brains.
So instead of using vision and logic their energy goes into attentionwhoring.

7. Dennis could not even get the votes to be considered |
|
and now he "can get so much done."
No one is stopping him from using his "power" to get more people in congress to get on the Dennis Wagon and support the health care bill ~ what is he waiting for ~ how many hearts and minds did he change this week?

8. None, because that's not what Saint Dennis is about. |
|
It's about grandstanding so that HuffPo and other left-wing sites will gush about his "courage" and "convictions".
I guarantee that if anyone examined Kooch's record closely they'd find out that he's one of the least productive members of the House.
That said, his wife is still a slamming hottie.

16. IMO that is what the far left is about |
|
If Dennis were President, they'd be trashing him too.
The idea is to be superior and above it all and ahead of the times. It's not to get anything done. It is specifically to claim to be victims and yet the ones who really know it all.

that Obama isn't smart?
Bull pucky.
I think he's smart enough to know that he could do the job better than anyone else, so he was man enough to step up and do it.

11. This is what I say all the time |
|
the men and women who put their necks on the line and go out there to make change get ridiculed by career backbenchers and professional whiners. I wonder how this crowd would have treated MLK Jr if the internet existed back then.
