Each post that goes on in GD seems to get crazier and crazier. I think I'm going to just let them spill it all out. Let all that crazy roll around on the floor. More and more posts are about Kucinich are not attacks on him, but defenses for him. I think there are probably 4-5 posts right now defending him on his vote. MoveOn is organizing against Kucinich and his followers are none too happy about it. The back-lash cometh for Dennis.

The other series of posts I just don't get is the hate for Arne Duncan. It's as if this guy is worse than Rahm to the Obama Hate Club.

If you hide of the Duncan-hate posts or the Kucinich-defense posts, GD starts to look a lot more like it used to.

2. I'm enjoying the DK posts

I know it's wrong of me...but it gives some people on DU who have absolutely no stake in a Democratic Administration something positive to do. Actually, I think that's DK's role in the party: Keeping dissenting and utopian Democrats in the fold.

I've stayed away from the education threads because I'm no longer up to speed on those issues.. my kids left the public schools years ago... I don't get the rancor toward charter schools though. People seem to feel they do nothing more than peel funds away from true public schools.

4. Yes it was especially fun to read that Dennis successful legislative

accomplishments peaked when he got the bill establishing the Museum of the Ukraine passed.

From now on I will refer to him as the "the Museum guy".

You should take a look at today's DKOS hate mail thread. Kos does a a great riff on the naming of the post office Kucinich got passed (one of his three great accomplishments while in the House).

6. I've mostly let GD go

The poll comparison between GD, GDP & MoveOn on HCR cemented this for me.

Should the House pass the Senate Bill with Obama 'fixes'

MoveOn - Yes 83%
GDP ---- Yes 71%
GD ----- Yes 40%

It's such a relief to see such a result, as it confirms a belief that I've had for some time. I'll leave it to the readers imagination.

7. Yeah, I generally just stay away from GD. Frequently, it just seems like crazy-town.

I hadn't seen that poll comparison but it just confirms my own view.

My favorite GD experience was getting called Ann Coulter for saying that it was OK for a gas station to refuse to allow people to have sex in their bathrooms.... Well, OK then, I guess I'm just a Nazi-fascist. :eyes:
