Local coverage of the Obama's trip to Asheville....
.... is here.

http://www.citizen-times.com/article/20100423/OBAMA/100423009

Asheville is a beautiful city, if you have never visited it, you should. (And I'm not just saying that because it's in my neck of the woods.) Hope they manage to avoid the bad weather we're supposed to have tomorrow.

1. Thank you, Clio..I did live in Asheville, NC in the
'70's on 7 acres of wooded land right in the city. We had so much fun..

I love seeing the Obamas down there in Blue Ridge country and from that vid link I left you on another thread ..you can see the peeps in the smokehouse were loving the Obamas being there, too.

2. Someone actually said on one of those Asheville blogs..
that "it was an honor to have them in town..despite your party you have to respect the man".

Thank you, anonymous blogger!

3. Report from Asheville. *Please allow me to post here*
The town is really excited about this visit. I haven't seen the entire city so excited before. People were lining the Interstate, every bridge crossing and the street going up to the Grove Park Inn. Everyone is following the trip on Twitter, trying to figure out where to go next to catch a glimpse of President Obama.

Business have put up supportive signs, the town is really abuzz. Planes have been circling overhead all night and this morning. The radio, teevee and random conversations are all about the Obamas. We are really proud to have him and the First Lady here.

I know I offer my share of criticisms, but I like the President and so does Asheville, big time!
